The process of choosing a new family member can be a joyful and exciting experience. It can also be quite daunting with all of the options and considerations involved in this, potentially if we’re lucky, 12 – 15 year commitment.

There are so many dogs needing loving, forever homes.  A great number of rescues with puppies and adult dogs of every description is a fantastic option. Do you know how to tell if a puppy or a dog is right for your family?

If you have a specific breed in mind or have decided that you’d like to find a puppy from a responsible, well-educated and ethical breeder, do you know how to research to find the best of the best.

With certifications in Canine Behaviour (CDBC), Family Dog Mediation (FDM), structure testing and temperament testing, Colleen is exceptionally equipped to help any family find the dog that is “meant to be” their new family member.

I was seeing clients this evening in Edmonton and surrounding and found these to be way too common this year. I've spoken to 4 Vet's in 3 different areas and they are reporting a significant increase on the number of dogs presenting with symptoms related to, and very likely caused by mushroom poisoning. It's definitely time to practice a solid "leave it" Cue. Watch your step..literally. Mushrooms are growing in more than the typical spots due to the damp summer we've been experiencing. If you suspect your dog has invested a mushroom, don't wait to seek help. Take a photo IMMEDIATELY!
